Sorted some chicks out today for shipping.Had a special request for peachicks out of "Wild Thang" so sorted all the peachicks that this Peacock added to overpopulating the planet this summer and here is what he has achieved promising his genetics(whatever they really are) carries into the next decade. Here is the guilty non - peachick support paying father. It was arrived at back in March this Peacock is a Spalding Silver pied,,,he was and still is in pen with two IB hens both showing several white primary flight feathers. So here is his ugliness.

Now for some of his accomplishments during midnight hours. These two chicks appears to be purples one having w/e.But have no barring so they could be hens.Top one here has a white throat patch as well.

And one of them both side by side showing the color is the same

Now on to more proof of his shenanigans! This one is leggy,,super dark in color with barring.Must be a male with the spalding coming out.He has very noticable white flights and several of them per wing with a few white feathers across his back.White throat patch very noticable again and this chick has super dark green feathers starting to show around the base of it's neck.Spalding Pied carrying 1 copy of w/e? These two both appear to be males with varying amounts of white on their wings and the top pic shows a few whites across the back. They have a lot of neckline that is yellow or white-ish,,India Blue Pieds?

Finally we have a pic of 1 of 3 that all looks like a standard old fashioned IB with 1 having a white throat patch and the other 2 appears to be "normal" I wasn't expecting all these suprises especially the 2 purples in the beginning.Evidenty the hens had a purple father. The dark leggy one is scary when you look at him close. His color is way diffrent than anything else here by far.Purples, spalding, whites,IB Pieds,IB,,we really wonder what the 2 whites are hiding.

He's not ugly, he's cute! And so are all of his little minis!

I'm lucky.

Just shows you don't know what you have till you breed em. I got what I am sure is a cameo bs male from breeding my cameo bs male to my opal bs hen. Both have a little spaulding in them, but hey, next year I'll breed the opal bs hen with an opal male to certify that at least she is opal.

I had considered next year using this Spalding Silver Pied male with something else.I do have a nice Silver Pied year old male that will be a breeder next spring as well,so I think I'll keep these 3 adults paired again, and add another white flighted IB hen I happened to see a few days ago.She had 2 white feathers on at least one wing but hides them very well and she wouldn't cooperate to see if she had white on her other wing.Mmmaddie13 chose the two lite tan colored hens in Post#2,,,she will have to keep us updated with pics as to what they become color wise in the next few months.
