Even though we've owned chickens for about six years we recently had what we thought was our first worming of that with the flock. Since around last November the birds have had very runny droppings and very dirty bottoms. For a while we didn't know what was up. Eventually we figured out that it was most likely worms since all the birds eventually got it. About three weeks ago we did a treatment of 1/2 CC valbazen and then 10 days later we did a second treatment. I fed them the medicine rolled up in small pieces of bread to make it easier to administer. We are now a week after the second treatment and a at least one of the birds still has soft droppings. Does this mean that we did not get the worms or does it typically take a few weeks to clear up??? Thanks for any feedback.

I would give it alittle time to let there system back in order. Some probiotics in the water wouldn’t hurt.

Also after you did your first treatment you would have likely started to notice dead worms in the droppings. Usually 2-3 days after treatment you’ll see them.
