I have five chicks- 3 are about the same age (a little over 3 weeks). One of my red cochin bantam chicks is so passive. S(he) doesn't fly up to the side of the nursery when I remove the top when all of the others do.
S(he) really only "socializes" with the other red cochin bantam chick. She's content to just sit under the heat lamp mostly. Is this chick doomed? Does she just dance to a different drummer? Thoughts?

She is the pensive one of the group. I have one that does nothing but squack all day (hen), and another two that never makes a peep.

Out of my 12 babies I too had one that wanted to be alone....was concerned at first but now realize it just walks to the beat of it's own drummer....ended up calling Edgar
