Hey
I finally found an avian vet and took cookie to their clinic immediately, they checked her abdomen with xray as it seemed tense. The images didn’t exactly show anything but the doctor thought it looks a little unusual and there is fluid in her abdomen area which is not egg content but infection. They believed Cookie might’ve had an illness before which was not fully treated and have affected her reproductive system as its side effects. They injected her with a high dose of antibiotics that has to be injected 4days in a row and She has to keep taking Enro orally For a week and hopefully the fluid will be drained. When we arrived home she laid a soft eggshell(without content) which had me terrified, I will upload the photo of it. I still have no idea what’s going on

Agree that’s a strange one, do you think she is feeling better since the dose of antibiotic or was this just today?
She looks better but she still sleeps too much; I really hope these antibiotics help and her infection goes away. & I really don’t mind if she stops laying for good, She’s losing too much energy and nutrition because of it.
Not quite sure about the name, but I guess it was Levaquin

@casportpony! Glad she is looking better. I am with you mine could stop laying today an it would be fine with me. Thanks for updating. I actually have a Muscovy who doesn’t lay any longer and a few older chicken hens! Plus my goose!

That’s so good, I really think they are better off laying eggs especially after what happened to my poor girl. Thanks a million for all your help and replies, I wish the best for you and all your birdies
