They do get in the bottoms! They love that they are covered. They don't lay eggs in the tops - they will hop in and out of them but I have never found an egg in there.
My girls are large and I have actually seen two at a time in one of these bins!! LOL

I only have one girl that prefers this dumb old drawer although she is starting to use the totes too now so maybe it can come out soon!

I just picked these up last week too and I LOVE them and the girls love them!
