Emmasmom
Songster
I bought this chick at a feed store. She was in the bluebell chick group. I've never seen the long tufted tail feathers on a chicken before - can anyone tell me if there is a breed that has those feathers? She has a beard too.

I was thinking Easter egger with the beard but I've never had one with yellow legs. As far as the tail goes, I've raised many chicks but haven't seen these extra long tail feathers - the main part of her tail is normal but these long feathers are new to me, the others don't have them. If you guys have seen them before do you know if they keep them into adulthood? Thanks for your help!Yeah I know what you mean about mite damage, but this is definitely different, they’ve only recently left my house and usually takes a while for the damage to show. She’s had them since a few weeks old, at first I though they were tufts of down that would fall off, but then I saw they had their own shafts.
