hello all

I am so new to all this and wondering what a swap consists of? Can you buy something without previously owning another bird? I am looking at buying my first chickens and am having a hard time finding what I want? What would I expect to go on at a swap?

Yes you can go as a first time buyer..You don't need to have somethign in exchange....
People put a price on it, sometimes you can get them to come down...Basically it's a 'thrift sale' of animals....

I love going to the swaps/sales and auctions...
Make sure you bring empty cages...never know what you might bring home..

sandyj exactly!!! I kow the isanti co op has swaps once every other month, just off hwy 65 starting in may but not exactly sure if its the first or second week in may, they haven't put out the spring flyers yet. I'll keep ya posted tho. between that one and the one in princeton those are the only ones i know of somewhat close
 
Yes!!! Please, please let me know. I did'nt know they had anything that close.
