UPDATE 3/24/10 mrs. red is making another nest.due to kindle 4/3-4/9.

Quote:
the first group i let out lived with/around the chickens for about 2-1 1/2 years.this group has lived together for about 5 months.
i bought the rabbits at a flea market and kept them in a cage for about 2 months,so that they know were home is and when i let them out the stayed.the became totally self-sufficient.they found food for themselves and water by themselves.they act exactly like wild rabbits except they stay here and they are a lot tamer.they know what to run from and what not to run from.i love them.
pretty much all i can tell you is keep them penned up for a few months so they know where home is and hope they stay there when you let them out.sorry if that isin't much help but that's all i did. :)

Hi Cole, Your bunny is so cute, boy she can sure fit a lot of straw in her mouth can't she!! Thanks for showing us the pics of her!I remember your last bunny post and the 2 individuals who gave you a hard time. I am sorry that happened, I was upset for you but I didn't say anything. Maybe some people are just cranky because your pets are happy and run around enjoying their little bunny days, and their rabbits .....well........

My bunnies live (sometimes with older chicks) in a very large area outside. One of them is busy making a nest out of hay and fur now too! (false pregnancy though, they are both definitely female!)
Be sure to let us know when she has the babies!

So pretty!

I don't think the OP was being mean. Just being watchful for the future kits.

I had my rabbits in with my chickens, but they were normally caged in the run with the chickens, not free ranging. So, do they free range your entire yard or what? Pretty cool and hands off, it looks like. I can understand why that would be appealing.
