UPDATE:AAAGHHHH!! Brinsea Mini Advance Incubator TURNER isn't working!

TECHNICAL HELP NEEDED! Any suggestions as to why my Brinsea Mini Advance automatic egg turner isn't turning would be appreciated!! I've got my first batch of shipped eggs (Blue Splash Marans) in it and this is not cool! I had two successful hatches previously. I did unscrew the top and blow out the fluff after the last hatch, but I didn't touch anything in there. What could the problem be?!! (I know I can resort to the old hand-turning, but I hate to go in there several times a day and alter the perfect conditions if I don't have to).


This was my last hatch in the bator:

I called customer support and she told me that there was a little plastic gear that was missing from the motor assembly. It was in the incubator box among the bubble wrap and had fallen off after I stored it last. Glad it was something simple! I hope I'm not in deep trouble egg-wise for not having noticed on days 1-3! I candled on day 3 and they looked to be developing properly.

Is it showing the / symbol on the bottom right side of the lcd display. If not go through the menu and turn it on. If it is displaying it I would contact brinsea.

Is it not turning at all? or is it just dragging the eggs without turning them? Mine Was dragging the eggs along without turning them and i lost all seven eggs.

My turner on my Octo 20 broke too and I hand turned most of this hatch - Ken fixed it. Turned out the plug wasn't connecting right in the wall.

It is showing the turning symbol "/" and it's making the noise as if to turn, but it doesn't turn the turntable. My guess is that there is something wrong with the little metal pin with the one flat side that catches the turntable. I'll just hand turn until I can reach Customer Service. Grrrrrrrr!

I'm having the same problem! I had a bunch of great hatches and now my disc has stopped turning. If I run a test turn it works so it is nothing wrong with the gears but when it beeps the disc just doesn't tytn anymore! Help?!

How do you know if its turning. I just got mine today and followed the instructions to set it up. I have 7 French Maran eggs in there.

How do you run a test turn? I don't think mine is working either!! Eek! I marked an up arrow on one of the seven eggs i set and after night one I'm convinced it hasn't moved at all. Ahh.

Okay. I guess I'm just remedial. I moved it from my kitchen into my living room so I'd be more likely to hear it turning ... And now it says "day 21" whereas before it said nothing. It's also letting me press those two buttons to do a test turn. Fingers crossed that it was just silly user error.
