UPDATE........Anybody else willing to help? PLEASE! Chicken appears dizzy and falling over

Thank You 16 Paws. So sorry to hear about your Dixie. That is so sad.
No, it's a miniature Schnauzer - Lilly. My daughter is training her to become a ' show jump horse!".

Therefore the bandages around her legs. Bless poor Lilly's willing heart.

I am so glad to hear this!!!!!!!!! The St John's Wort didn't do a thing for mine so don't even mention it any more and i really don't think your bird has Marek's. Talk about tempting the Fates...lol, seriously, I truly think your bird is having issues because of vitamin deficiency and possible respiratory/sinus thing.

I am praying for you and your chicken, just lost my Dixie(big, beautiful light brahma) today from some predator so I know what it is to have a broken heart.God Bless you and Daisy.
PS, is that a Yorkie in the picture? I have 3 of them....
I am so sorry! I think this is one of the hardest things to have happen. With disease you have a chance no matter how slight, with a predator, there isn't one and we're left with the 'what ifs'. Again i can't express how very sorry i am that you are going through this pain.

Oh....that is so funny! Oh I love it! It brought to mind how, when i was very young, i would dress my old tom cat up in doll clothes and put him in a baby buggy and push him up and down the sidewalk. Poor old Sammy, he was very patient with me, lol.

HAPPY ENDING UPDATE. I'm happy to report that Daisy made a full recovery and started laying tiny eggs a few weeks ago.

And went broody this week. She remains the the most loving towards people and a real menace among her "peers". Thank you so much to everyones who offered advice and kind words and for those who said a prayer. Not quite sure what the problem was. And Lilly, she's still working on becoming a show jumping horse....

From this,

And this.....

..........

Nova never left her side..... (to me this was the most heartbreaking.
Who knew chickens had compassion). When Daisy couldn't walk any further Nova would sit down for a rest,
when Daisy fell over Nova would slow down. When Daisy lied down, Nova was right there by her side.
Nova is a hyperactive leghorn. She is never still. She doesn't walk from place to place, she runs. She is always busy
looking for the next bug, scratching faster and deeper and further than anyone. So to have seen her like that when Daisy was sick, was truly amazing to me.

To bright eyed....

and feathery tailed. She and Nova are still best friends.

Dear Daisy's offering. She'll always be the special one.... In more ways than one....

You've made my day, thank-you very much for the update! So often we are left wondering how things worked out in the end. A word of advice, for some reason, these special birds will sometimes need a 'refresher course' with the vitamins. If you see her starting to get slow, or anything else that may be just a little off, check her over for everything to rule out problems that could be overlooked and then give another round of vitamins.

Oh I am so happy for Dear Daisy, I cried when I read your post about her and Nova being so dedicated to one another! That is so special!
I have an update also, I may need to change my name to 24 paws. We lost our Abby, 12 year old Yorkie last summer to 2 rattlesnakes that got into the dog run. We tried everything the vets said to do to save her (3,600) but her heart stopped in the middle of the night. So we found out about 3 dogs in an abusive home that needed to get out of there asap.Well, we decided to take them. So we had 4 Yorkies, lost Abby and now have 3 more Yorkies! That makes 6 total! I know that is crazy but I love dogs and chickens and sometimes it is just meant to be.
God is good,
Blessings to you, Daisy and beautiful Nova....
Marie
