UPDATE........Anybody else willing to help? PLEASE! Chicken appears dizzy and falling over

They have it at tractor supply or any feed store should have it I'm not sure the name I'm not at home where I can see it and tell u just go in and tell them what's wrong and they will tell u exactly what to get for her. Hope she gets better!

I hope she gets well. have you considered she might have an inner ear infection? or a vitamin defiency. you can get a great mix of B vitamins from first state vet its called vita pro B. I would consider giving that a try. you can also get amino acid at the same place. it might really help. I would consider looking into it because these vitamins are formulated for better absorbtion and are not just filtered out of the body. they also have Less sodium. I think they might help. best wishes

X's 2. Looking at the pictures I'd have to say Marek's as well. Now to both Lol Chick and My Baby Chicks, do you know what Marek's is? I am not trying to be a wise guy, I just see that you both are new to BYC and I want to make sure you know what I am talking about. Marek's is serious and if Casportpony and I are correct there are some things you need to do now to help these birds and any future ones.

Lol chick, of course she wants the corn....it's like offering a 2 year old the choice between liver and candy. We all know which they will choose, doesn't mean it's the right choice. Your bird needs a good feed and like Casport said, one with a bit higher protien level for now wouldn't be a bad thing. I would have her on an 18% for now. Purina Flock Raiser if you can get it, or even the regular feed they were getting with some showbird food mixed in. The corn isn't helping her at all. Any more than that candy would be helping that 2 year old. Sav-A-Chick vitamins or Durvet Vitamins and Electrolytes would be very good choices as they can be purchased right at a Tractor Supply store or most farm stores.

This is what I have done for mine in the past when they have gotten to this point. Mix their feed with warm water, enough to make it thin enough so you know they are getting water but not so thin they refuse to eat it. You could hard boil an egg and chop it small and sprinkle that on the top. Even a few mealworms chopped will work. Only mix small batches of this at a time, just enough for them to eat within 15 mins.. The rest of the time only offer their regular feed. No corn, treats, or anything not part of their normal feed. You want them to fill up on the 'good stuff' not the junk. The vitamins I put into their water and that is the only water they have but for the wet feed. Nothing in the run but this water, nothing in the house but this water. 24/7 for a week.

About the antibiotic, not sure why, but okay. It can't hurt. I would recommend getting Duramycin-10, again at Tractor Supply, and giving 1/2 tbls. to 1 gallon of water. Do this for 7-10 days. If these birds start getting better with the antibiotic, please post here on this thread! It could mean that the Marek's idea is wrong and other things will need to be tried. If it is some kind of infection you should see results from the antibiotic in 3-4 days, maybe even sooner. If there are no improvements at all by the 5th day, again post back here.

Sad to say, me too. 5 week old JG chick, wobbly. Shivering at times. I put him in a clean cage on my patio, and gave him food and water with corrid, sulfadimethoxine, vits , and electrolytes in it (yes, overkill). Like try everything even tho you know what's going to happen.

Maybe I was wrong in trying to raise chicks from my Marek's resistant hens.

I'm going out every hour dribbling medicated water, and dunking the tip of his beak in the water.

I mean this in the nicest way possible, really, I do, but you guys need to learn how to tube feed, it would make life sooooooooooooo much easier for you. Once you learned, it would only take you 2-3 minutes 3-4 four times a day to get tons of food, water, meds, etc in them.

Got one I have to do now, he's a big rooster, so he'll get 120ml of just water.

Sorry to hear about your sick one... I know how hard it is to deal with, but like you, I will try everything even though I know how it will end.

Thanks for all the replies. The reason I give her corn is because that is all she will take. No mealworms, no cucumber which used to be her favorite, no hard boiled egg, no vitamin water NOTHING but the corn. I soak it in the sav-a-chick vitamins. I give her vitamin fluids with a syringe when I'm at home. (Work full time).
I know a bit what mareck's is but thought by this time she should have been more paralyzed. She does not have droopy/paralyzed wings. It's only the one pullet that is like this. I thought the others would have it as well.
How do I tube feed?
And how do I know if it is an inner ear infection.
