Do not give cow milk to any baby animals unless absolutely necessary. Some use goat milk from the store but preferably you either want fresh raw milk or some type of formula. I usually keep a container of goat kid formula on hand because it's the most universal. I just mix it to different strengths depending what I'm feeding. You can cause severe digestive tract problems giving store bought milk especially cow to baby animals.

Please do not give milk. That will cause diarrhea which equals death. Best to wait until you hear from local rehabber or game commission. Without knowing when his last meal of doe's milk was you would be better off working on hydrating the fawn, with a pedialyte type of liquid (NOT gatorade) but really its best to not give it anything and get it to an experienced rehabber ASAP. Fawns will literally give themselves a heart attack and drop dead even when looking and acting fine moments before. They are very sensitive little guys.

Finally heard back from the dvm I called earlier. Unfortunately, he does not rehabilitate wild animals, only treats injured ones. He directed us to a nearby nature center that does, though, and we will be taking the little guy there on Monday once they are open. Until then, I have the care instructions he gave me for him so hopefully we'll be ok until then. Thank you everyone for the help.
