Hello all - I could not find my thread so I just wanted to post an update. Bunny seems to be doing better and I think it is a scorpion bite. The confusing part was that her symptoms were totally different than when another of our hens was stung a while back.
She is eating, but still a bit wobbly. The best indication we have of her getting better is her comb. On Friday, her comb was pink and she had red around her beak (what you might call lips) and coming up a bit. Saturday, more red and panic on my part. Today, she is almost all red and it occurred to us to look at old pictures.
Her comb is normally red (redder than Friday) and so she is healing, not getting worse. My suggestion in all this is to take frequent pictures of your birds. That one little thing of comparing plus the fact that she is showing progress, has dropped my blood pressure.
