it was late last night so First thing when I woke up I looked up Ohio native foxes. your foxes also have a buchy tail and carry them somewhat low. With that being said the poster above me is on to something its probably a stray dog even appears to have a pointer stance about it.

I live only about 30 miles from the OP.......Lot of coyote in this area, yes foxes too.......bet money its a COYOTE.

I say coyote too. Light in color and seems too big to be a fox.

Newbie to the boards....from NH but to me, it looks like the coyotes we have here - they seem to run a bit different than foxes, and the scale as another poster suggested also indicated a coyote.....be interesting to see.

Whatever it is, it'll eat your birds!!!!

I believe this is a coyote-----it looks too big to be a fox, and foxes move more like a cat than a dog.

I've got a game cam picture that looks exactly like that and it is a fox--later pics when it isn't running prove that. I've got a gray fox that comes by my game cam about the same time every night. Right now there are a lot of choke cherries and their poop is filled with pits.

100% coyote the body is to stocky to be a fox a fox has a sleek body and slim.......................oooooooohhhhhhh and that thing about the head is up or down thing that dont matter a fox will keep its head down too because it doesn't want to be seen so will a coyote to sneak up on prey you sir have you a coyote im certain of it...........
