*UPDATE ,CAUSE FOUND TO DEATH* URGENT bantam rooster ,

Wanted to let everyone know ,, we found the cause of the death of my roo,, mistletoe we found it in the nest when i went to clean up the mess that he made before he died ,,,, they trees in our yard and eveyone elses around here are full of it and we have had some high wind , limbs and stuff falling out , i guess it feel in the run and he got it and took it in to the nest with him



went to feed the chickens this morning found one of my bantam roosters in the nest box ,
he was not moving , his head thrown over his back
when my husband picked him up ,, he cant hold his head up
he is still breathing and he will open his eyes
but he cant move
where he was sittin in the nest , is soaking wet , and poop everywhere
he was fine yesterday
and i dont know what to do
should i put him out of his misery or what
all the other chickens are fine

btw he is a 1 yr old blue red bantam rooster

yes there is other roosters in the pen ,, they have grew up together. and they have always been happy
um as far as why his nest was wet ,, there was no leaks or anything and we havent had any rain
my mother (75yrs old) said that the roo's was probaly fighting over a hen
anyway
it just makes me sad this is my first chicken lose
but thank you to everyone for answering me

* What could have happened to get his box all wet?? Could he have set under a leak all night?? Did you have rain? Poor little roo-boy!! I'm sorry this happened. Hypothermia maybe?
