First off, please don't offer to do fund raising or ask to send me anything in this thread. All contact should be made thru email.

We do have a roof over our heads. Right now we are living in a 23' travel trailer. We hope to get electricity today or tomorrow - Roger had to put in a new power pole since the old one burned too. I love the week and dread weekends - 6 people in such a small place is driving me nuts but I am glad to have a roof over our heads.

Anyway, I have to get off here - my 3 yr old's Head Start class is kind enough to let me use their computer when I drop her off so I don't want to wear out my welcome.

THANKS to everyone for all their words of encouragement. We'll get back on our feet eventually....

If anyone is interested, you can email me for the link to the news interview with my husband.

I'm glad your doing okay! Hopefully the weather is good on weekends and the kids can spend their daytime hours outside. Even if it's reading a book under a tree.

Please don't give up! Have you gone to your local housing authority? They might me able to help or at least steer you in the right direction. What about Habitat for Humanity? There must be someone who can help you. So sorry for all your troubles.

Well prayers and good positive energy is free! Never enough of those things in our everyday lives.
It must be so difficult to see any silver lining, but I'll tell you this much, you are a strong family- obviously.
When you finally get a place built I am certain that family members and friends will replaced some childrens photos and share other photos- make new memories.
No, nothing can ever replace, but you have a wonderful family, hang tough, take time out each day to snuggle them.
You are very much in my thoughts and I would be more then happy to help out, but for right now, you are in my thoughts and prayers. More then you will ever know.

(wish I had a million dollars, I would help out the world. We are all in need one way or another)

Thank you for stopping by and keeping us posted, as always, its great to hear from you!

What a terrible thing to happen. Very sorry for your loss.

Our house burnt to the ground right before I was born... my parents were both working and had 5.5 kids. About 10 years later my mom's kindergarten classroom, where she had taught for 15 years burnt down and she lost everything.

All our best to you and your family!

So very sorry to hear of your troubles. I certainly hope you are not in the path of any of the storms. It's nice the school allows you to use their computer. How did your chickens do during the disaster? It's good that all of your family is safe. Furniture and stuff and be replaced but your loved ones can't.

Dh had some friends in TN just this spring lose their house to a fire also they lived in her mother's horsetrailer w/living quarters for about 4 months while they waited to get their property cleared and a trailer moved in. He too was unemployed until a couple months after the fire.

Please don't give up, I relize it all seems the worst. It sounds hollow but things will get better. As long as you have your family and friends you have love and support. And if you ever need something your BYC family will be there for you.

I will keep you and your family in my thoughts.
