Update: crop surgery with graphic photos

Has she had access to grit? Do you have a probiotic you can give her? Do both.

Increase the dosage of miconazole to three over the span of today, giving a bit more than the normal half inch of cream.

Let's see if that starts making a dent in this. But prepare yourself that this could be an underlying problem caused by something we can't do anything about, such as cancer. But Regina seems active and strong, so I'm hopeful we can lick this.
They have grit in there coop at all times, I will make sure she has some inside. And I will up the dose of Miconazole. And you mean like a probiotic capsule I do have some should I give her a whole pill? And you wouldn’t recommend I also try to treat for an impacted crop (massage and oil) ? @azygous

No on treating for impacted crop at this time. If the crop feels mostly like a water balloon, massage is too risky. We need to concentrate on reducing the fluid in the crop so we can tell what else might be in there causing trouble.

Yes, give her a whole probiotic capsule or tablet. This can help the crop enzymes stand up to the yeast better.

@azygous ok, in the morning it’s doesn’t feel water filled it feels full of food and who knows what’s in there. By the evening it feels really mushy and full of liquid I’m assuming because shes only drinking water and hardly eating?

I misunderstood then. If you feel a solid mass, then some oil is called for. Give a teaspoon and let it work, then do a very careful massage on the lumps. If any fluid dribbles out of her beak, stop the massage.

In an hour, give more oil. You may end up using a stool softener, if the mass doesn't soften by noon.

I just can't figure it out, now when I feel it its back to all mushy like jello basically. so I guess ill hold off on the oil. I gave her the probiotic and miconazole and her calcium. So maybe ill just wait for a while yet. :bow I just don't know, I wish you were here @azygous lol

I later went outside to make her puke again and it was foamy and there was a little line in it. I don’t know if it’s worms so I wanted to double check. She’s also shaking and loosing feathers at a rapid pace. I love her and if you have Anya device let me know!!! Should I also treat the other chickens?
