**UPDATE**Day 19 I have a pip...... ON THE WRONG END !!!!????!!!???

I'd wait. The membrane is porous to a degree, so it can probably breathe. Just wait it out for awhile. I know it's hard!

Even if you managed to tear the membrane a bit for air, it still may have trouble getting out. You wont know that for quite some time, though. I'd wait 24 hours before helping. It's still quite early. It's a balancing act and we cant know if the chick has absorbed the yolk or not-they will pip then rest for very long periods for the blood vessels to retract and the rest of the yolk to absorb.

I will let it be tonight and maybe tommrow make just a little hole at lease so I know its getting some air (if it's not) and then go from there.

That's hard to say. Probably just leaving it the way you found it is best. I haven't had many have issues with fluid getting in the beak so they drown after pipping. Once I had a Welsummer who zipped 3/4 of the way and then started foaming from the zip opening. It died, but never had another do that.

We wait until late day 20, that way they were just a day early if something happened and the whole shell goes.
