hadn't been writing down the fluctuations since I've been typing it here..

anyway, this is pretty cool... I keep running in my SO's office to tell him updates... and he's just ... uh huh... and I'm a giddy school girl.....!!!!

Yeah, chickies!! And yeah for leaving the bator closed. Ha!!

It is very exciting. I have a batch of eggs due to hatch this weekend. I can't wait. My whole family hovers around to watch when the chicks zip and come out.

Well, I hope there is good news this morning. Yes 84% is to high, what do you have in there making hum? A sponge, sock ??
You can remove one of those and the hum should down. For all I know you have to little chickies by now. Cant wait for an update !!

At 7am I woke up to lots of chirping... TWO chicks are hatched! Yippee!!!!!

They are tumbling and one trying to stand briefly (it was out first).. the other was still rotating in it's egg when I walked in. I can tell them apart.. will post pics soon..

Don't think the last 3rd egg is going to hatch... I could tell one was heavier then the other 2 at last candling... the two that hatched weighed .04 & .05 oz.... the heavier one weighed .07 or .08... but don't worry... I'm leaving it in!! It was full like others.. movement or vein pulsing through the end, good air cell... just heavier.

Thanks for all well wishers and help last several days!!! Gotta go check them

Oh on one chick as it tumbles I can see it looks maybe a little what ya'll are calling a rough navel????

I need to see a picture so will look later... it is Not intestines (have seen pics of that)... or not much.. just a little white at open... the other is bloody red.. I took them out quickly one and a time a put neosporin on the navels (and to have a better look).

I also took out the shells to give them tumbling room and taking video but don't know how to post it.. will post pics later... yeah!!! thanks ya'll I'll be updating soon!

The brooder hum fluctuates ranging from 60 to 80... in pic shows 77. What is TOO high for them now they are hatched? they do get quiet and sleep for awhile and then wake up peeping

They Are drying off... brooder is set up only heat lamp and paper towels.. I moved the Radioshack therm in a wiggler to the brooder but it will be awhile before it gives true reading. Should it be in a wiggler now? or just read air temp?..
