We got two, week old runners at the farm store yesterday and I am happy to report that they are doing well . We have decided to hold off on the bigger shipment until these guys are out of the brooder. They are adorable and I can't wait to introduce these ones to the kids!

My husband has an office in the basement, not accessible from inside the house. They were loud peepers!

Ah, I see. They're very cute! I have to distract myself on BYC to keep myself from candling my call duck eggs in the bator.

DO NOT USE MEDICATED CHICK FEED FOR DUCKS IT CAN KILL THEM. Use Game Bird Starter! Also When I get new ducklings or hatch them myself I always give them Sav-A-Chick Electrolytes. It gives them a good start in life.
