The other side looks fine..... Her eye seems to be gunking up a little already....

Since it's something they never get rid of, would it be best to just go ahead and cull her?

I'm really disappointed and aggravated that I didn't see it before buying her...

Chances are you will probably have to cull her of its some respiratory disease.
I recently had to cull my whole flock that got sick with Chronic Respiratory Disease, i wish i had noticed earlier that the new birds i brought in were ill.
But its good you noticed this now and didn't let her get in contact with your flock yet.

If you want, you can wait to see if other symptoms show or if her condition improves.
If she shows more symptoms, its most definitely some respiratory disease
But, because you haven't seen any other signs yet, i can't be 100% sure.
Your call.

Well yuck.... I did find that same product with the local Tractor Supply but will have to pick it up Monday. No way I'm getting on the road tonight, lol, and they're closed tomorrow.

If I can get her eye to clear up I may let her hang around.... I feel silly asking this but would her eggs be any good or will she just need to remain a pretty pet to look at?

Well even if her eye clears up and she "looks better", if its a respiratory illness that means she will still infect all your other chickens.
If you don't sell chickens (so you don't infect others) then i guess you could keep a "closed flock" (meaning no chickens leave your property and if you bring chickens in, you will be infecting them), but any time they are under stress they will show signs of looking sick again and may need to be put back on meds.

Normally the eggs should be safe to eat if its something like mycoplasmosis or coryza but those disease can pass down from mother to chick (if you are planning on hatching, the chick can be born with the illness).

Its difficult to say because we don't exactly know what it is.

Yea, if we keep her around she'll be kept away from the others. We have 3 different areas for chickens, our original flock with a few added hens only after watching them for a while to make sure they didn't show any signs of illness, a second pen for another flock we got a few months ago and now a coop and run with some older chicks who are just getting outside... Not to mention some other chicks we got today in their own little area inside but this one wasn't around them since it's so much bigger. I'm really glad we didn't expose her the others yet.

My rooster ended up with a bad eye because the guinea was pecking him. was oozy and crusty like that. i tried to treat it with some ophthalmic eye ointment that i had from when my son had conjunctivits, but it didn't do anything after 5 days of treatment. i went to walmart and bought some saline wash and store-brand triple antibiotic ointment. after 2 days, it started to clear up. after 5 days it looked amazing. not sure how much he can see out of it as the initial treatment didn't work. but i swear by the triple antibiotic for eye injuries from then on.

I would try the Neosporin in the eye and not give oral antibiotics. If this is something respiratory then you want to know now. I would give it a few days and keep a close eye on nostrils for discharge and breathing for noise. Its better to know now that is respiratory than give orals now and never know. They can be carriers and not show any sign of the illness unless stressed. If it is respiratory and you want to treat and keep for a pet then you can go with more treatment if you want.

There can be a lot of reasons for eye problems they are common. Keep doing what you are doiing. It may be a sign of illness, possibly infectious, possibly not. Dont worry about her being a "carrier". That isn't always the case either. May or may not be contagious. Use saline (like the kind you can buy at the drugstore...saline eye wash for people)..to wash the eye with. AS a precaution if I were you I would disinfect everything..all the feeders and waterers and everything else you can...with at least bleach or, if you can, Oxine. Oxine is so much better than bleach, though more expensive. If you buy it from first state (the link is in someone's earlier post) the directions for the oxine will be on the bottle.
