So you guys know I have been wondering when my turkeys were going to lay? Well, I think they are...!!


Look what i just hatched out form my incubator FULL of CHICKEN eggs!










I really thought turkey eggs would be bigger and speckled for some reason....lol....they used this against me and hid them in PLAIN site in the Chicken Coop!! Evil little hens!!!

What makes me sick? I have been selling eating eggs

and why is it sick if your selling eating eggs? fertile eggs dont taste differ unless you incubate them

Because, they are worth 5.00 each unhatched....and 10.00 hatched!

But I just remembered it takes 28 days...this has been 21.

It's all a learning experience for me. I am enjoying every minute of it! I do think it may be an EE cross now though...But I love those too!
I have decided to keep my turkeys in for a couple of days to see what the eggs (if any) look like.

Would be a hoot if it were a turkey!

i would LOVE to keep our turkyes until they lay but we dont, usually,

All the turkey eggs I have seen are white to cream colored with speckles of brown, and slightly bigger than a large chicken egg (or at least my rp's are)

Yeah, That's what I was thinking....but I'm still waiting to see any. My goose started laying just 4 days ago so we'll see...
I had to laugh at myself....it really looked like what I remembered the poults looking like when I got them....goes to show how good my memory is
