Update!!!! Help...Chicks in bator....

drop down a tablespoon of Cold water... that will drop the temp and quick looking at it with a light.. everytiem you get the chicks moving the temp goes up... drop cool water everytime there is a spike... You can stablelize the humidity and temp in the bathroom by running the shower and remove the chicks... (this is always a risk... ) Best if there are no pips but you may not have a choice.. make sure to steam up the bathroom and then stuff all the chicks very quickly in a box and put the lid on just as fast as you can.... good luck and post us...

So here is what I did. I had hubby lift the edge of the bator lid and I quickly pulled out the fluffed chicks. Hubby squirted water in with a squirt bottle. Humidity never went below 70%.

I ended up with 25 out of 26 hatching. The one that didn't had it's guts on the outside. One other chick that hatched but had not absorbed the yolk died shortly after hatching.

Over all 24 of 26 seems like an awesome hatch. Ironically I had one egg pip, zip, and then not hatch. It was one of my first pips. When we pulled the chicks out, I pulled that egg too.

It had been zipped for 2 days. We figured it was dead. But when we pulled some of the shell off it started peeping. I washed it in warm water and helped it dry off. It is doing great!!!
