It's weird this happened to all of our hens at the same time.
I was hoping for some updates on the other hens. Are any of them better.
I have my girl in a box in the house. She's eating and drinking and she manages to get out of the box, but when she tries to stand she falls over. There doesn't seem to be anything broken as far as legs or wings, but she will sit fine and then just lean to the side either direction.
I tried taking her outside when it seemed she was coming around and I wanted to see if she would just get up and start moving. The BCM hens had been pecking at her comb and it was bloody. I have cleaned it up and I'm using neo on it.
The games came running when I took her out and even her favorite buddy and my nicest hen tried to peck her head and comb, so she's in the house until the cuts clear up also. She has some on her head in the comb area and around her eyes.
I'm sure the big roo mounted her. The tell tale broken feathers that he curses my BCM hens with is apparent although she was lucky her didn't break them to the skin like he has with others. I'm going to stop being a whimp about it and remove those suckers! SPURS!
She seems to move fine for a few seconds although her body stays low and then the toppling starts. Is it possible that she could still do this if say her back was broken or there was damage to it?
My games are my gentlest birds and I hate that this happened to her. Just want to see her get better. I'm keeping her mostly in the dark and warm.
Could it just be shock? Hopefully keeping her warm and secure will help if that's the case.
Anyway I'd really like some updates on the others as well as any ideas that could help her.
