Wow it looks super different... But it's starting to bleed again

Is it absorbing or what..?

That hole has gotten much smaller. The only thing that seems to be bleeding is the sac, but that is getting smaller too. It's another multicolor chick so I hope it lives. So should I give it water from my finger or anything? What about food or do they not ea on their first day?

moochie, you need to give it sometime the yolk is absorbed slowly over a period of time. she won't need to eat or drink for about 24 hrs. but you don't want it to get chilled that will kill it. go back and read all the info everyone has given you about keeping it warm and not letting this yolk/intestines dry out.. Please try to be calm and do all that was mentioned..

You are doing great. Be calm, you can totally do this! The chick does look a little better. Looks like there is some hope. Don't worry about food or water. They can go 3 days without it due to the yolk they absorb. Follow the directions to keep her warm and damp and you are doing everything you can. Try to not get her moving around right now to keep bleeding down and so that doesn't pull away too soon. Let us know how it is going.

The bleeding has stopped anyways. When should I reunite her (or him) with mama, when the yolk is gone and the hole is healed up?
