*UPDATE* No new feathers after molt!*pic heavy

Tell you what. Get some cheap vasseline, and rub it on one of your worser hens. All over her red areas. After that, separate her.Keep the vasseline on heavy for the first lets say week. Give her a real high percentage of protein. Quail or turkey or gamebird starter. I'd say around 22-26%. No corn no or nothing with low amounts of protein. Keep her very hydrated, and in the shade. Do this repetively and you will see new growth. Now its not going to happen over nite but will give the feathers that extra boost. The vasseline will keep her skin safe and insects and those kind of things off of her. The high protein will let her grow feathers. The shade will not be as hot and will keep her skin cooler so she isn't as hot so she will grow more feathers. And you might try rubbing some cheap lotion on her to keep her skin hydrated. I have never tryed the lotion so you other people might and I don't see how it would hurt her. Keep her clean and the next few weeks you will see a major improvement in her skin and you might even have her filling in real good with feathers. But give her about 1 month and she will be as good as new. I had a hen that my rooster kept mounting and she was a bare little thing and winter was coming so I did all this and she had new growth in I think 2 weeks. So good luck and keep us posted please.

I think my hens or maybe something else (idk) has gotten drift of just how sick I was getting with my hens looking and acting so terrible:

A few days ago I had a hen get a disdended vent...it got bad so I had to cull her yesterday

The last few days there was another hen not wanting to eat and acting very lethargic. She was one of the ones that didnt appear to have anything wrong with her! She had nice thick feathers and was towards the top of the pecking order.

I tried hand feeding her but she even refused wheat bread! She was drinking water but the rest of the time just sitting around...

This morning I found her dead under the roost.

(SIGHS) Maybe this will help if the problem is overcrowding....

And I should probably mention that I have used a lot of the help you all gave me

Ive been seeing some rapid new growth especially on the girls' backs! That may be mostly due to the fact that Roo is in a doghouse condo until they fill in better! Hahaha
