I read something from RedRooster (I think) the other day that tells how to deal with a rooster. You may want to contact him and see if it will help you. I think that it was a link that you had to click on to go to his page, but sorry I do not know the link or what post it was on BYC.

I know that he said something about every time that you went into the pen and the roo started acting up, to just pick him up until he calms down, no matter how long it took him to calm down. If he started flapping and acting when you went to put him down, then pick him up again and hold him until he calms down and keep doing this every time.

I am not sure exactly, so it would be best if you contacted RedRooster if you would like to try to keep your roo.

Hope this helps.

Your hens are gorgeous!! I especially like Rosie, she is just perfect!

I *so* want silkies.

My husband just wants us to breed our own backyard flock, so next time I incubate, I'll have to get some eggs off someone here and sneak them in the 'bator with our eggs.

I'll just act all surprised when they hatch out as little fuzz balls.

Justino, I love your chicks. I like the color of your EE. Are you serious about the Leghorn/RIR roo? Was he really a Safeway egg?
I think the first thing I saw on my silkies is that the female had a nice poof tail, and the boys had feathers with a bit of poof on top. But there was a big difference. See if you can spot differences between them.
