Thank you all for the wonderful support. I'm getting ready to leave and go up to the hospital to see my friend up there. I'll let you know how it goes.

A little good news, the specialist that examined my friend has put her on chemo. He said no it can't be cured, but it can put into remission with very aggressive treatments. They are going to do three rounds of aggressive chemo, 2 bags a day for 3 consecutive days, wait 3 weeks, do it again, 3 more weeks and then do it again.
It is small cell lung cancer and grew so fast it's shocking. But at least she isn't being told 6 months, go home and die now.

i didn't read many of the posts but i just wanted to say my thoughts and prayers are with you. many hugs and much thoughts. I am glad you took the girl in. some people just don't know how to parent. I may yell at my children but id never have to have cops involved in any way. but i don't do drugs, i rarely drink(and it's just some fun drink here and there LOL) so, good luck with the girl.. she needs a hug too.

Some more good news, my friend is home from the hospital as is now able to keep some food down. She hasn't eaten decently in almost a month, but the first round of chemo as helped, now it's a three week wait until the next round.

My girl is doing better too, she's not so nervous and doesn't jump everytime I say something. If she would only get past the "need to please" phase and not worry I'm going to kick her out for breathing wrong.

So sorry for all your troubles. All that girl needs is unconditional love and understanding. Give her time...love will show her the way. Hope your friend continues to get better. It'll be a long battle and she'll need your support.
