Ya the red light makes it very hard to tell anything.
Wing feathers/ tail feathers/ feather growth rate aren't reliable.
Chicks look maybe 2 weeks old?
You aren't gonna know anything at this point.

What age am I able to look for clues usually??

You’re definitely more experienced than me yes, two weeks and I only know that when I count back to when I got them. They’re my first chicks

6+ weeks old. Post some clear pics then without the heat lamp and we can sex them by looking.

Honestly, no. This one is the least friendly and definitely not the most assertive. I didn’t know when that started... these are my first chicks ◡̈ they are maybe 2 weeks old ish.

Typically males are pretty cocky, (no pun intended.) My sister has one whose 3-4 months old and he is very...well matured already.

Oh interesting! These chicks are supposed to all be the same age but this one definitely has the least amount of feathers.

Plus, does he stand more upright and erect than the others? Males stand more upright while pullets are more slouched.

That isn’t very accurate in sexing.
