As far as separation, I think it causes more stress. I only separate a bird if they are getting picked on, I need to monitor their input and output, or if they are suck enough to need environmental control. I do occasionally use a separation method whenntgey can stay eith the flock, like a crate.
I agree, I try not to separate them but it allows you to get a good look at their poop which can surprisingly give off a ton of information, I learned it from a friend. Normally I keep them in for an hour or two
 
Yes, I've seen that happen, in fact Penny has done so herself! But interestingly, when she wasn't feeling well, they didn't go after her, probably because they are scared of her and still young themselves. Now that she is back to her old self, and with them, they are fine as well.
That’s awesome!!! The reason I recommend to separate her was trying chickens sometimes pick on them and they can give off bodily fluids or movements that you might not notice when shes in the flock, sorry for the confusion!!!
