I'm not sure yet about both--they are both 1/2 buff orpington because thats what my rooster is and one will be 1/2 americauna. The other is going to be a surprise--either buff orpington-black australorp-or barred rock--I just picked up a brown egg to incubate, I'm not sure who layed it!!

Congrats....
I just set a couple of eggs today (my first time) and I noticed that my humidity fluctuates from 50%-70%, how did you keep your to stable?

I read that it's suppose to be 58%-60% until day 18, then 65% until the hatch.

Hey bock!

I'm not an expert at ducks but I am willing to bet they are NOT cayugas. They really aren't solid black, are they? Or is it the photo? If they're solid black then I'd say, yes, cayugas, but they look like their down is black and yellow mixed. Did you lose your other little chick with the blob on it's rear?

yea i losy my other chick

but i new it was going to happen, and my duck does look like it has yellowish color in its feathering which leads me to believe they are mallards, but i am not 100 % sure but when i i get out and it fluffs up better i am going to post pics on here agian
