(UPDATE!!) Red not getting better * PSU Replied!

I gave her a couple of grapes that were on the top then I let my kids have the rest. She didn't get much. But she liked it.

PA, sorry that I can't catch up on the posts right now at work - don't remember if you have her indoors in cooler temps - she probably is, but if she isn't, she needs to be, at least through Saturday. 110 is killer for even many a healthy bird...aand tomorrow will be worse (probably 115+). Saturday probably 110. Mine are in lockdown with fans and AC - it is so stinkin' hot!!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for replying. I have childrens Tylenol liquid. And to those who are wondering I did take her temp rectaly a few minutes ago and it was 108.8. I will go and give her a bath now.

the cool water bath sounds like a good idea. you can also spray under her wings and her breastbone area with some cool water. and plenty of electrolytes (gatorade or that smart water stuff works okay) and maybe try some frozen plain yogurt or fruit/vegetables to keep her cooler and distract her. if she is eating the other stuff you offer her that's a good sign. i set all my chickens up in the basement today, it's much cooler down there. please update us in the morning!
