I spent $18+ for 6+ JERSEY GIANT HATCHING EGGS BLUE BLACK SPLASH eggs from a farm, or whatever in Indiana and this is what I received. I did appreciate the 2 extra, but I never expected 4 out of 8 to be broken. I emailed the person to let them know and he/she has failed to respond back. They stated they need pictures so I am sending them to this site. I must say, I was and still am highly upset. So buyers beware.

Broken to the point of seeping - not just cracked

These are the 4 good eggs

That's really frustrating...How were they wrapped and packed...More people need to hear the details so this doesn't happen again. I've only seen it once but the eggs weren't packed very good...and moved around alot in the box...the seller quickly resent more in better condition but then fertility rate was low...so...well ...I've had many better trades since.

It has been 2 days and I have still not heard from the Ebay seller, but if anyone wants some eggs, his/her auction ends in 1 day and so many hours left.

Unforutnately that happens a lot due to careless postal workers. Most people have a disclaimer that says they are not responsible for the after they leave their hands. However they are responsible for packaging. I got some last week that the egg carton was against the outside of the box with no padding and they were a mess. This was from someone who has sold a lot of eggs on eggbid and ebay for years. I got no response either. I think some people don't care they just want your money.

Mine were in the center of the box, but loose with the peanuts. They were not in a carton, they were wrapped in worn out bubble wrap, set side by side and then wrapped like you would a Shirt for Christmas if you did not have a box.

I feel for you. I was willing to drive a bunch just so didn't have to go through that. I lucked out and the seller only lives a couple of miles from here. Youll have to baby those last four but im sure they will do good. Keep your head up. I know it is hard to wait only to have that happen. Ill meetup with you on the other tread to see how they hatch out, Good luck.

I actually put 5 in. I decided to bandage the one and cross my fingers. I have had 4 eggs hatch that have been cracked. The only ones that you cannot do are ones that are seeping. This one was cracked and after sitting 24 hours was not seeping. So I am giving her a chance and will know something in 3 to 4 more days.

I don't know if this will help. If an egg is slightly cracked without the membrane being ruptured you can patch it with fingernail polish. I have done this many times.

Bandage? Folks have suggested here that you drip candle wax on the crack to seal it. Many report the eggs were able to hatch. Others have warned to watch cracked eggs for bateria. Candling will tell you if it worked or is going bad at day 7.

Good luck
