Well, Bella continues to improve

Since I am home this weekend, I'm holding off on the Valium to see if she has any breakthrough seizures. Her last dose was today at about 1:30pm. It wasn't pouring rain so I let her outside with Ruby and Little Bill. They formed an instant trio again, and the only way I could tell Bella from Ruby was Bella seems a bit smaller and has some wacked out hard feathers from all the seizure tumbling. Otherwise, she snurfled mud and bugs and ran around all day long

She's had no seizures since that last one I posted about, but I've been giving her the Valium regularly up until today. I stopped the Durapen today, too, it's been seven days of it.

She acts completely normal. She is hard as hell to hold onto!! I am scratched to bits from giving her shots and squeezing Valium into her bill

I guess it's time to see if we don't need these things

She was very offended and sad when I brought her back in the house for the night

There's about three inches of water/mud in the low part of their pen, and if she did seize she'd drown in it. I won't let her out without supervision unless she has no seizures and no more Valium by Monday mid day. So she quacked piteously, and Ruby quacked back, and they talked about me behind my back through the window until Bella gave up and slept solid for about two hours. Tired ducky, big day

I hope things continue to improve so she can go back to being a regular ducky

I had one duck fall on its back and it was screaming and flapping, but it was only 2 weeks old when that happened. Regardless it sometimes hard for a duck to flip back over into the right position. It is always a good idea to give ducks electrolytes/vitamin mixes into their water one a regular basis. My newborns get only this type of water for the first week. After that once per week until 10 weeks old. After that once per month. I like to use this product , but you can find something similar in your feed store. This one smells like vanilla and also contains probiotics. My ducks love it. One pack goes a long way. You only need like 1/2 teaspoon per gallon. It contains the niacin and other important minerals. A lack of electrolytes can cause flips. Add 1/2 teaspoon of regular table salt into one gallon of water. This is only temporary until you get the right stuff.

Which product are you referring to? I click on your link but it doesn’t show what product. I have a duck that is seizing and we don’t know what else to do for her!!

I am so sorry no one has replied to your post. If you could start a new thread it would get noticed quicker.
Or now that I have seen it go ahead and give the circumstances. This will bump it up.
