*UPDATE* Three Incubator matchup *PICS*

All the eggs came from the same source (florida chick) and are RIR's. As for the same amount in each that will have to wait until next time.

mr.majestik :

Thanks for the positive energy guys it's much appreciated:)

Ok, Candling results on Day 8 were really good:

Miss prissy model: Both eggs have great embryo development. Very active and defined. This bator has been a great source of entertainment and I would recommend it to anyone. As a matter of fact I saw one exactly like it on youtube.

R-Com 3 Egg: All three are developing perfectly. This bator is almost too simple. Sort of takes the challenge out of it.

LG Still air: 14 Eggs. 11 are showing development and 3 arent. Temps and humidity are perfect. I like this one pretty well. I'm, candling again on day 14 and I'll post the results with a few pics to boot.

Wish me luck:)

There were 2 teachers that built my bator and did youtube videos.

The homemade bator works.

Miss Prissy your bator works very well indeed. I actually had the most fun thus far gathering the parts and making it in my spare time then testing it and getting the temp/humidity just right.

Ok Day 14 candling results:

Miss Prissy bator: Both chicks are developing extremely well and I couldnt be happier.

R-com 3 egg: All three developing as expected. No issues.

LG STill air: Lost 5 eggs. Three didnt develop at all and two have blood rings so they get tossed. Not real fond of the LG so far. Might invest in a forced air fan next time.

7 Days left and I am getting stoked! I can't wait until they hatch.

Question: I know I should expect to lose a few more during the proces but I'm curious as to what percantage the average loss is? 20% 40%?? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Oh, I'm building my brooder now and will post hatch/brooder pics in 7 days.
