Thanks- I tried to track it from Iowa to Arkansas- I did make a stink with the PO on the phone. Called the postmaster. Welp will file a claim with the PO- so Welp will be reimbursed. They shipped as promised- on monday. That was the first thing the postal worker checked, was the hatch date. I responded, " Yup, this ones on you" They actually asked me if I wanted to send them back!! Morons. Like Im going to let them kill the rest of them.

Okay, I did an inventory. I ordered 27, Welp sent 31. I actually had 15 alive at arrival instead of 14.
SURVIVED:
4 Blue Wyandotte pullets
4 cuckoo marans pullets
2 silver laced wyandotte pullets
2 silver laced standard cochin pullets
3 welsummer pullets
Total- 15

DECEASED UPON ARRIVAL:
12 Blue Wyandotte pullets
2 Blue Wyandotte cockerals
1 welsummer pullet
1 Cuckoo marans pullet
Total- 16

If it werent for losing both cockerals, I probably wouldnt have them reship my order. ( that and I really wanted 15 Blue pullets as well instead of 4. I will need to sell some chicks when i get my new order. I dont need 46 chicks. Anybody in Arkansas want to buy a few chicks in a few weeks?

I think its a miracle that you had some survive at all. I have been looking to find out what happened and if you found them at all. I am so shocked that any PO could possibly lose a box of baby chicks. They make so much noise......its not like you can forget they are there. The PO's that are responsible for this are a disgrace. I wish they could be held accountable for this. I would think that there should be a sticker on every box of shipped chicks to indicate that if the box is not at its destination by a date indicated.....please open the box to give them water or something. I hate to see people going throught this waiting and sadness when the shpment gets irresponsibly misplaced

What I don't understand is that these boxes have tracking numbers and if they don't show up you can locate then immediately. If you have the tracking number, you just go to USPS online and plug in the number and it will give you every way point the shipment has passed. IF and this is the thing IF someone does run the number. It should be a simple thing to have them locate where the box went astray and have the animals given water at least. If postal employees screw up and a live animal is delayed in reaching it's destination, then the PO should be required to provide the basic care to keep them alive until they can be delivered.
Of course, if this is brought up and looks like it might come to be, then the PO will simply say they can no longer deliver live animals

I think its a miracle as well. Did you see the pics I posted under "PO SURVIVOR PICS" thread? Its amazing how well they are doing. Oh, Id like to smack whoever is responsible for the boxes delay. Thats just crazy.
