Nice . I like the idea of the storage. Cool !

thanks, last winter there were a couple times where I couldnt get out for a day or two because of snow, this way I wont have to worry about it so much till I can dig over there.

I have wasted so much money on the long metal feeders. That doesn't work for me.

What type of material (wood) did you use?

half inch plywood, I dont think its exterior grade but the guy said it was better than the cheapest stuff and would not warp if damp and at the time we were getting so much rain it was impossible for it not to be damp inside. He also used some wood we had around from a shed we are tearing down (you can see that on the lid on top.) He did it all with a circular saw, dont think it would be too hard for someone with wood working skills but beyond my abilities. And he only actually used half a sheet of plywood.

eta - I could take some better pictures if your interested.

it is 3 feet long, 2 feet tall, 4 inches inside I think. Theres a board slanted in the bottom, from the back to the front / to help the feed dispense by gravity and not get caught on the back inside.

I just told my boyfriend what I wanted and he came up with the plan. You could most definitely make it larger if you need to.
