Could it be splayed legs at 3 weeks old? It was completely fine last night when I put it in the coop.

AWW, what a cutie! Well, per that website 3 weeks is too old for spraddle legs to show up... I think you're right, it's injury related, but I'm wondering if some of the theraputic techniques would work anyway.

So on my latest trip to give her some water I noticed what appears to me to be a pneumothorax

If the baby chick is on bad pain then you can give the chick a aspirin on its water.

I think one aspirin(regardless of mg) would be too much for one chick in it's water. I don't know what the recommended dilution would be.
