It would be nice to have them show up! I'd love that!thats awesome!! i hope they come back next year so you can get more pictures of them!!
i havent had a broody duck yet, so really cant say how they are
but i have interacted with a broody swan and her man at a farm i used to work at

We'd be very welcoming...every other wild bird in the yard seems to think we're welcoming anyway...lol.
It's good even to know we can save the eggs if we find a damaged nest...although we prefer to mark it and leave a large cut around the nest for her safety and security. It's always best to not have to have to intervene.

A swan? Sounds like there's an interesting story there.



I think it was a lot of luck mixed with good advice from some BYC members and some very helpful little chicks who were at the right place at the right time...even though they weren't supposed to be here...lol.
