I have to hear it when I use my camera on low quality for space conservation. I feel like a scolded child being reminded. I remember what he says, but sometimes give him low res pics to get a rise out of him! the first thing he does is right click for photo properties.. Then I hear squawking in the distance!
:lau:lau:lau
I only brought it up because the calendar printing is important and big $ vs my fooling around my farm for memory scrap books.
:p
:lau Poor guy. He'd really panic if he saw my photography style.

I have a basic cannon. I have to hide it so he doesn't change my settings! lol.. I give him the card when we print pics.. I hate when I run out of space on the card because of setting placed on highest quality.. I tell him.. Don't touch mine and I won't touch yours!:lau
I'm not a professional photographer, so I don't need pixel rate I need space..:)

My bad.. Nikon..(cool pix 4600). Plain and simple pocket camera. That is all "I" need. My hub is the perfectionist, he has a couple good ones.
I could only find one as pictured. (Mine is the tiny one) can't find the case.
He has inter changing lenses and light meters and gadgets I don't know what.

I have one like the 2nd image, except it has a fixed lens.

No, but I'll have DH read it and give his feedback. He's an engineer with tons hardwarde and software experience in video compression, so he'll understand it much better.
From what I read on it, the printing is where it matters for pixels, vs monitors. Each time you work with a jpeg, it compromise's the quality. It is written in basic laymen's terms and short and to the point. I showed my husband it last night and he gave me the
:old"I told you so" speech. Oh brother..:) lol

DH explained it as if you are saving it to tif you are decrompressing the image, then saving it back to jpeg is recrompressing, which might not recrompressing it as well as the camera did.
