Updated- Adult Pekin duck - problem walking

I have been giving her polyvisol since I noticed the limp. A bit over two weeks. I started her on brewers yeast daily after the original post, so almost two weeks. I will try to get some calcium down her today. I have also given nutri drench once but she was very unhappy about it so I went with polyvisol and BY since then. How much calcium do I need to give her? I will have to look and see what mg my tablets are that I take. It's calcium citrate though.
Awesome that you have it, okay 6 capsule make up 1000mgs, I open 3 and out into a gallon bucket Also put the ND in her water that way at least she is getting it. I know folks use poly vi sol but I really like the PND. But that is up to you what ever you can get down her. At least get the calicum in her and lets see how she is in 4-5 days.

Ok... update... she is walking 100% perfectly and has been for 8-9 days! Woohoo! But... she's still living in a crate on my deck because she now has either a hurt joint or bumblefoot. There is a tiny place under this toe that looks like it may have been scraped but not scabbed or anything. Just swelling. She doesn't act like it hurts her though. I think it could be an injury from her overcompensating for whatever injury she had before? Or maybe it's bumblefoot. Regardless, for the past week I've been soaking in Epsom salt baths, using decolorized iodine, vetericyn and triple antibacterial. I'm trying hard not to cut her since I don't know what this is for sure. Foot pads look great and no other swelling except for that joint. First pic is what it looked like two days ago vs today. Can't anyone see any improvement at all? I think I do, but maybe it's wishful thinking? Help! I don't know what to do and I've been babying her and nursing her back to health for 7 weeks now and I'm tired.

Great to hear she is now walking :ya

As for the swelling usually bumble shows up with a blk scab at the sight where the infection is. So not real sure what maybe going on with her toe.
Maybe give her more time in the crate and only soak every other day and use the colorless iodine. When I use the Epsom salt I use 1 cup per gallon of warm water. It can't hurt to even go up to 2 cups as long as she can't drink it. Keep up the good work you have brought her a long way.

I don't mind the Epsom salt soaks much. I give her swim therapy in her pool, then she gets to have her soak. We've come to an agreement that I don't touch her or look at her while she's in there and she won't try to escape. Lol! She just preens and chills now. I use the iodine and veterycin in the AM and vetericyn and triple antibiotic at night after her swim therapy. I don't do a soak at night, just pool time. It's the constant cleaning of the crate that's killing me. Ducks are so gross Here's a pic of her soak yesterday. At least she's cute. Oh and I definitely don't let her drink it, nor does she try to anymore.

Yes they are pretty nasty creatures good thing they are cute. lol

Any way you can section off an area where she can be with the other ducks but where she can't be constantly running and trying to keep up. That may help you with the crate clean up.

She's adorable by the way.

I have a grow out pen in the coop/mini run for baby chicks I had her in a few weeks ago for about a week. I think that's when this injury happened because it's bedding and I think she tripped. Regardless, the baby chicks have to go in there this weekend. I don't have any other space I can put her. It's bad timing for that. The baby chicks were supposed to go out last weekend, but I held them back because I did have a hen with bumblefoot and I didn't know if this was bumblefoot at the time. I am going to use oxine on the coop and run before I put the babies out just to cut down on the cooties.

Sorry for so many questions. I have her out in the pool right now and noticed a spot on top of the bump that looks like a decent sized pimple. I'm worried it is an infection of some sort and I am going to need to cut. I'll try to get a pic when she gets out of the pool, but my questions are, if I cut (I have a scalpel blade), I'm going to have to keep her foot wrapped right? How do you wrap a duck's foot? Should I iodine after then pack with triple antibiotic? Should I use veterycin instead of iodine? Or both? How can she get swim time after I cut because I'm scared she will pick up more junk in the pool. Can I put some oxine in the pool to kill cooties? If so, how much? I'm truly at a loss as to how to handle this one.

Here are some pics of it. What do you think? @Miss Lydia btw I really appreciate all your help. You're keeping me sane, but I am on my last straw with this duck. I love her, but wow! Lol!

Also, if I cut, where should I cut? Worse swelling is on the top but there is a "scrape" and some swelling on the bottom. Do I cut both? Just top?

The place on the bottom of her foot looks to be where the staff probably entered. Looking at the top of her foot the infection maybe in the joint and other than a vet I really don't know how you'd treat that yourself. Antibiotics probably would help maybe Penicillin injected into the site but I really don't know the best course.

Hang on and let me see if I can get @casportpony on here.
