...when do they normally start to get their saddle or hackle feathers, if they are a roo? I have 3 EE's who are 18 weeks old and so far there are no signs of saddle or hackle feathers. A couple of them have been "diagnosed" on here as pretty possibly roos.
Here are some pictures of the chickens in question. I'm talking about the EE's in these pix. It was hard not to get some of my other pullets in the photos, so just disregard them, I KNOW they are pullets! They are all sex-link and one for-sure Buff Orp!
These are 18 weeks old...The black-headed one is Emma, the black and white one is Abbie and the red-headed one is Maggie.
This one is 13 weeks old I'd love an opinion on but I'm pretty sure it's a pullet...Her name is Louise
