lmfao! by any chance do you think it’s too cold to keep them outside ?

........ THAT is what you consider cold? 😲 That's what my late springs look like...

They're at least 4 weeks old already, and look decently feathered. And you already have them out during the day. Are they off heat completely at night? If not, remove heat at night for the next week or so, then boot them out.

And yes you have a male and female. If you can't keep the boy you'll need to get the girl a new friend or two.

Nice chicks! I agree the one with the larger comb is definitely a cockerel. They are probably mixed breeds. They are feathered enough to go outside. To go outside, they just need all feathers except head feathers, and yours look like they are at that point.

Are you planning on letting them free roam in your yard? That coop is too small for them to stay in full time when they are adults, but it will work great to sleep and eat in if they can free roam all day.

usually I put the food and water inside but it doesn’t seem like they know where the food and water is because when I do bring them back inside at night time they’re like dying of thirst I am sitting at their water bowl and drinking for five minutes.

You do not have room in that tiny coop for food or water inside, so you'll need to set it up probably under where the coop section is.

They need to be trained to use the ramp as well. They don't automatically know how to get up and down

I have the same sort of prefab coop. I keep water in there all the time, and put food out in the morning and refill periodically during the day. I bring that in at night to discourage mice and such. I leave out containers of grit and oyster shell out there all the time. All my containers are off the ground, in the run area. I never put food or water in the coop itself. I open their pop door at 7:15, let them eat for a while, and then open the run area for them to roam the (fenced) yard all day, until they go to roost. I only have 2 right now, and the run is way too small without the free-ranging.

Also, if you have any predators, you may want to add locks on the doors to the coop and run. The latches prefabs come with are not adequate for raccoons and other predators.

okay so i’ve read everyone’s replies.

lol yes anything in miami under 75 starts to get cold šŸ˜‚ (overnight last night was in the 40s, so i worry about them being outside overnight right now)

i know the coop is small for them i am planning on getting a larger one with a nesting box and a taller run so i can expand from it.

i also have been trying to show them that their food and water is upstairs but doesn’t seem like i’m making an impression so i’ve been putting it under the coop and yes it fits.

they haven’t stayed the night outside yet because the coop doesn’t have a door to it and i haven’t been able to get some wood shavings for the inside of the actual coop. (going to the feed store tmrw)

i have also observed lately that i think they’re fighting. šŸ˜” or i guess the males got an anger issue, although he is the more social one out of the two.

i would have no issues free ranging them but they have started to fly, how can i stop this ? do you clip chickens wings? (first time chicken owner)

Mine flew a lot when they first found they could. That stage lasted for a couple months, then they settled down. I also have the advantage of one of my birds being so big that she can't flutter up more than maybe a foot, and the other doesn't want to go out alone, I think. My fence is 4', and they don't leave the yard.
You can either clip wing feathers, or make a run for them and cover it. I have never clipped wings, but I've heard it may not stop them very much.

I wouldnt clip their wings at this age, they can be put outside. I am in Florida too and right now should be fine. Since that’s such a small coop it may be better to let them free range when they’re older. Could you post better pics of the two birds individually? Games are fighting birds so if they are males they will fight.
