Updates on the last pages: Neighbor is threatening me and my chickens

I PMed you my county. My coop can be moved but I have a bigger one coming on Monday. Now I don’t know where to put it.

Other Posters, thank you for your efforts. I've looked at the zoning, based on the info @Smileybans provided privately. It is **highly unlikely** that the required setback is 300 feet as mentioned previously. However, the municipality involved is very small, and while the zoning is online, PARTIALLY, the required setbacks are not. More importantly, a Local Law passed in the 70s, specific to poultry in the village, has not been placed online, nor (seemingly) incorporated into the Zoning Code directly, as the municipality discussed doing in 2004. Neither have they loaded their meeting minutes online, so they might be reviewed to determine if they specifically chose not to do so. The current zoning online does not revoke those prior local laws. They appear to continue in force - just not online.

and to maintain Smileyban's privacy, that's as much detail as I'm willing to provide.

Are you able to find a phone number or address for their code office you can give them?

There has to be someone they can call in order to get a copy of that setback rule/ordinance.

Yes, my response to OP linked to the municipality departments and contacts, among other things. You know me, I like to link my sources.

I called the ordinance guy and he said he would call later with the information I requested. 😕

Be sure he fully understands you want/need a written copy of that ordinance....and any others pertaining to poultry ownership.

Oh and while he's at it can he print off the ordinances pertaining to dogs....

I feel like he made it up. I can’t find it anywhere and he could have just typed it in himself. I don’t know. Im thinking of calling his higher up but don’t know if I should jump to that yet.
