Upgrading coop materials

I definitely don't want 37 birds that's too many for me lol, just wanted to make sure the 4 ducks, 2 silkies, and 6 more chicks coming wouldn't be too crowded. For the flooring can you lay down just plywood thats been polyurethane to seal it to help it last longer?

What will you do if the silkies get picked on? My girls got beat up by the other pullets and it got to the point we had to remove them . I know it can work out .... but what's plan B if it doesn't ??

Haven't figured that out quite yet. The birds coming in 2 weeks will be days old chicks and they'll be in the coop in from the start in the box my husband made for them. One of the silkies is a cockeral by the looks and sounds of it, he chases the ducks a bit so we'll see how everything goes. I know a lot of farmers and people in the area so I'm sure if worse comes to worse we can figure out some trade offs or sales.

Also I'm thinking with the set up I have in mind that the birds should all be able to hang out together and have peace from eachother. I have the temporary outdoor yard set up and it's 15'×10', it will be expanded to an L shape, longest side being 25, shorter side of the L being 21. I think it shouldn't be a huge issue with the silkies since the chicks are the ones being "introduced". But, time will tell!
