Upset with the neighbour down the road

heehee.

That laugh was not at you.I have a friend that does that, but I recently stole his ladder to make up the diffrence.haha!

Then he came over and asked if I had his ladder.I told him I just recently won a ladder in a game of chance and would sell it to him for the money he owed me. Dummy paid me,then got the ladder,to his amazement he noticed it was his and stormed off.

Latter that early morning, he was caught trying to steal my bear and fish "gone fishing' sign by my bulldog "Killer"(yes my dog is named Killer!). he hasnt been seen since.

If a customer doesn't have the money the first time, I will say "Oh, that's fine just catch me next time."

The next time, if they don't have the full amount, "Oh, well I'll just hold these for you, and you can bring the money by later in the day or tomorrow and pick them up then." That always works.

Lets them know that I know...everybody has a short cash day now and then, but I am not going to be a patsy.

I had the opposite situation once too. A customer came by, wanted 10 dozen. I had had a busy day, and only had 3 dozen left, and no change for her $20. So she gave me the $20, took the 3 dozen. She didn't return for the rest of her eggs for 2 weeks! Now, THAT is trust! When she did come back, I gave her an extra dozen for her inconvenience.

In addition to not selling her more eggs until she pays up, you might want to make it a rule that she comes to you for eggs, not you take them to her. It would be a little less awkward for you if she doesn't have the money.

You also could prepare an email showing 'paid' and 'balance on account' while it's fresh in your mind. Then if she actually has the nerve to contact you for eggs after the PM you sent, you can send the email and tell her that her account has been frozen until she pays in full.

We had the same situation recently, but with a customer who usually pays by check. He picks the eggs up from DH when DH is at work because it's more convenient for him. We sell him the eggs for $2 a dozen because he has been buying eggs from us for years. We charge anyone else $2.50. Last time he picked up his 6 dozen and instead of a check he handed DH a $20. DH doesn't normally carry change with him, so the guy told him to take it out of his next order.

Dont be rude but make it clear that you have other people who will PAY for their eggs. If your not the "blunt" type next time she E-mails you tell her your sorry a you just pre-sold all your eggs to a cake shop

lol bad example but start talking about how they paid OVER what you asked and anyone with a mind will get the hint

sorry i'm blunt.

1. Do not sell her any more eggs until she pays up.
2. After she pays up, continue to sell her eggs.
3. When you do sell her eggs (after she has paid her balance in full), she has to pay for her eggs upon receiving
the eggs. NO money, No Eggs.
4. STOP giving her FREE EGGS. No more free ride for her.

That's just my 2 cents.

She is taking advantage of your kindness.

Arose4Heaven has it right, that is a polite way to say it and get your point across. What she is doing is in very bad manners and she obviously needs a big hint that this is not acceptable behaviour. I would never sell eggs for that cheap so you are being a DOLL. She is getting healthy, free range eggs for a steal! If she won't but them someone else definitely will.
