UPSTATE NY chickenstock OCT 3rd Sunday!! -The aftermath and hatching

Nat, are we going to be walking around selling the raffle tickets, or are we going to have a set place?

I would like to have this pair of birds sold before I haul them to NY. If no one going to chickenstock is interested, I'm going to exhibit and sell them at an upcoming ABA or APA show later this fall. Just thought I'd let my fellow BYCers have first choice! I purchased these at a show last fall and am selling them for what I gave for them, which is $75. Easily worth that amount or more! As with most show-quality cochins, because of the excessive fluff on their rears, they do need to be severely trimmed in order to successfully breed, or they must be AI'd.

Here's the specs -

Breed: Cochin
Size: Bantam
Color: Birchen
Quality: Show-quality
Age: One and a half years old
Temperament: Sweet, calm, docile birds
Price: $75

Both :) I will have a table with all the prizes on it-under a tent-with signs that say "get your raffle tickets and 50/50 here!!!" so someone can man the table and someone can solicite people around the property-I figure jeremy and his mouth -with a "tad bit of tidy in him" should do the trick! LOL Lovins will have a shirt table near you guys selling tshirts to-we can swap out all the time who walks and chats and stuff-Ill be processing chickens for a bit-cooking for a bit-and drinking a bit! LOL...

I knew someone did I just couldnt remember besides Marilyn-If Karen finds her roll well use hers-if not then you can grab them:) Thanks guys-

Marilyn has to work? I'll call her in dead... then she can come. That's aweful, she's such a sweetie!

Gretchen... I have no IDEA how you would AI a chicken... and I am pretty sure I dont want to know. Wonder if Mike Rowe has done a special on that one yet?! They are gorgeous, but I want to work on LF cochins first then maybe branch to bantams. I am more than sure that Bob or Jeremy will have something to say about this...
