DH bought the house what we didnt see at the time

#1 all ceilings leaked and had to be replaced within the first year
#2 the stainless stell appliances were all junk!!! stopped working almost immedialtey
#3 whole roof needs replacing
#4 DD's bedrooms were outside porches that were built into additions-NO INSULATION at all
#5 the monitor heater was garbage had to buy a new one
#6 the previous owners buried yes buried all garbage and debri from their landscaping business-200 tires!! we have 5 huge tires left to bring to the dump at 5$ each weve taken our time to bring them to dump. all tree stumps-huge tree stumps-huge amounts of bricks-broken mind you-metal cans-plastic plant buckets-all buried-we have spent 4 years digging it all out and have about 5 years to go before we know we can finish it all-
#7 septic system was shot and had to dig it up and replace-on July 4th weekend!
#8 all electrcity had to be rewired-all jerry-rigged to look like it was working
#9 the "cabin" that we rebuilt from a complete gitting was being used by their DD who was 24 and her DH ( and I dont mean Dear husband) they were supposed to move out immediatly and took 2 months to get out and left 30 bags of garbage and they were supposed to replace broken windows and carpet-never did that either.

These were people we knew-trusted-never thought they would take us for such a ride. When we told them about all the troubles we were having within the first couple of months they didnt care they got their $ and thats all that mattered-we havent spoken since!

first year 50G's just to fix it so we could live there! The rest will have to wait until $ comes?? SLLLOOWWWLY haha I call the house the $ pit like the Tom hanks movie-we'll be on our deathbeds when we finish...LOL

FWIW, I think your property is very nice looking!!

Forgot to mention - no stainless here. Appliances from the 80's (that still work) and speckled laminate countertops. And pink and blue toilets and sinks!! I don't worry about that stuff but I'll probably think differently if we ever have to sell.

roof hasnt been done yet plugged all leaks when new ceilings when in-no $ for that one huge thing a year--this year outdoor woodburner for house-DH is building it from scratch? IDK as long as I have a warm house this winter ID care! LOL um yah our carpets needs replacing but that's out fault-stupid dog haha

Well... my house was so bad (How bad was IT??) well it was so bad that I got it for 14 grand... that should be an indicator... when your down payment only has to be $3k to avoid PMI and all closing costs??? ding ding ding! WARNING! I was like "Yah I watch flip this house" someone should have flipped me on my head...

We are going on a much needed cruise (only DH and I) Leaving the 2 kids with our mothers. The mothers are feeling overwhelmed with the fact that we would be gone for the weekend for chickenstock at Nat's and then off to our cruise the very next week.

We "take care of" both the MiLs since my father-in law died his spring - so you would think they could TRY to keep up with us for just a few more days out of the year...but enough cheese and wine... you guy are going to have the BEST time. Take lots of pics...even the not so glamurous ones
