That's us-looked at the house in the peak of Summer when all was green and pretty-
#1 DH saw the huge workshop
#2 DH saw the massive garage ( which I took over and made into a massive coop!)
#3 DH saw water frontage
#4 DH's parents live right nest door and own the antique store on corner-I love them so its all good
#5 DH saw it being near hunting camp ( 7 miles away)
#6 DH saw the opportunity for our DD's to have freedom -not like in town
#7 DH the bobcat
#8 DH saw the tractor caterpillar
DH bought the house what we didnt see at the time
#1 all ceilings leaked and had to be replaced within the first year
#2 the stainless stell appliances were all junk!!! stopped working almost immedialtey
#3 whole roof needs replacing
#4 DD's bedrooms were outside porches that were built into additions-NO INSULATION at all
#5 the monitor heater was garbage had to buy a new one
#6 the previous owners buried yes buried all garbage and debri from their landscaping business-200 tires!! we have 5 huge tires left to bring to the dump at 5$ each weve taken our time to bring them to dump. all tree stumps-huge tree stumps-huge amounts of bricks-broken mind you-metal cans-plastic plant buckets-all buried-we have spent 4 years digging it all out and have about 5 years to go before we know we can finish it all-
#7 septic system was shot and had to dig it up and replace-on July 4th weekend!
#8 all electrcity had to be rewired-all jerry-rigged to look like it was working
#9 the "cabin" that we rebuilt from a complete gitting was being used by their DD who was 24 and her DH ( and I dont mean Dear husband) they were supposed to move out immediatly and took 2 months to get out and left 30 bags of garbage and they were supposed to replace broken windows and carpet-never did that either.
These were people we knew-trusted-never thought they would take us for such a ride. When we told them about all the troubles we were having within the first couple of months they didnt care they got their $ and thats all that mattered-we havent spoken since!
first year 50G's just to fix it so we could live there! The rest will have to wait until $ comes?? SLLLOOWWWLY haha I call the house the $ pit like the Tom hanks movie-we'll be on our deathbeds when we finish...LOL
