Is there anything that I would need to bring to participate? I can't believe I didn't know this was going on! I was lamenting only last month how few get together there are for us backyard chicken people. There are even Goat and Sheep groups sponsored by the Cornell Coop Extension locally but nothing for chickens and poultry.

You are AWESOME!!!

That's when you call in your friends for help! A great team means the difference between success and failure. It's all about the organization and SIMPLIFY!! No one knows what you had PLANNED to get done - they only see the result, which is usually more that enough to satisfy. Went through this every year when I ran the school fair and the Winterfest, for 500 and 300 people each, respectively. Obviously worked, cause I kept going back to do it again.

So, set up that party again,Muggs! You can do it!

The cost is free:) we only ask if people are coming for the day and eating-HUGE BBQ going on is to chip in a tad of food and your drinks-we could use some veggies? like a plain salad-or cut up veggies? no one I dont think has volunteered that yet? Read the first post carefully it has almost all details that I update constantly as we go:) There will be tons of people there buying and selling chickens:) celebrating BYC!

I have to finalize it with the hubby, but it looks like both of us are free on that day! woohoo I can definitely bring a veggie platter and/or a salad!

I agree with Brindle, Nat is a saint for putting this on and putting up with all of us! (Which, may be worse than the actual party!)

Oh, and Nat, just to let you know, the one light Brahma you are getting, LOVES cat food. When she gets let out for free range time, she heads straight for their dish. Makes the kittens puff up and run away!
